Choose the lock

When we talk about lock type, we mean active security, that is, the system’s resistance to break-in. The type of lock on a safe has a major influence on the price of the product: when you consider that it is ultimately the effectiveness of the locking system that keeps unauthorized individuals out, you can see why. There are typically 3 different types of locks for a safe, or a combination of the three: keyed, mechanical combination, or electronic combination.

Electronic combination lock

This type of opening involves an identification access code, without which the door will not open. The code in this case must be memorized, taking care to choose combinations that are difficult to replicate. One’s car license plate, date of birth and the like are generally discouraged. The electronic part of the safe is powered by one or more batteries.

Key lock

Key safes are the best known and most popular. With these products, you will not run the risk of forgetting PIN codes or having dead batteries. The key offers the advantage of being able to be taken with you anywhere, thus avoiding possible duplication. However, the risk will be of losing the keys and having to face the cost of replacement.
